How It Works

Step 1: We start off with a consultation. This can be via phone, email or chat – whatever your preference is. We will go over your goals, your past employment and education, and specifically identify which kinds of jobs we will be searching for, and begin developing a plan to find high quality openings to submit to.

Step 2: We will set up a new, professional email account. Here at VCC, we will have access to your email account through the duration of the job search so that we are able to communicate with HR reps and submit to jobs on your behalf. You will own the email account forever.

Step 3: We will get you set up with our Job Search Tracker spreadsheet. This is a basic, cloud-based tool that we use to track jobs we have submitted to, responses, interviews, etc.

Step 4: We will begin searching for job openings that meet your criteria using a variety of job search methods we have developed at VCC. The job openings will be added to the Job Search Tracker. You will have the option of disapproving any job openings we have found that you do not want us to submit to (within reason).

Step 5: Once job openings have been approved by you, we will submit to them.  We will tailor your resume and cover letter specifically to the job opening we are submitting to – that means changing all necessary information in the resume and cover letter to match that of the company which you are applying to. We do offer fully customized resumes and cover letters written for a specific job for an additional fee. Depending on the package you order and type of position you require, delivery time can vary. We try to find and submit to jobs as quickly as possible unless you tell us otherwise.
